Principal ideas, applications, and techniques of differential equations. First order equations. Theory of linear differential equations. Power series solution of differential equations. Bessel and Legendre functions. Laplace Transforms. Systems of linear differential equations. Sturm-Liouville problems and Fourier series. Fourier Transform. Introduction to partial differential equations. Prerequisite: MATH 152
