Sensitivity functions. Advanced controller design methods. Polynomial solution approach. Linear quadratic Gaussian and H-infinity controller design theories. Cost functions and their minimizations. Dynamic weighting functions and choice of these functions. Error and control weighting functions. Cross weighting function. Youla form of controller. Numerical algorithms. Industrial controller design: Superheater problem, Hot steel Mill problem, Furnace problem, wind turbine control problem, Ship roll stabilization problem. The use of softwares: MATLAB, Simulink, Program CC.
