Gaziantep is 700 kilometers away from the capital city, Ankara, and 1000 kilometers away from Istanbul. Students may travel by coach, by train and/or by airplane to Gaziantep city. Gaziantep airport is about 22 kilometers to the University main campus.

Since most of the students are accommodated at the dormitories on the campus, they do not have any problems in commuting to the University. Furthermore, there are municipal busses and mini-van services to the University from almost every district in the city. The transportation problem of the students studying at the Faculty of Education in Adiyaman, and in Kilis and the Vocational Schools for Higher Education in Kilis, Besni, Oguzeli, Gölbasi and Nizip has been solved by the local authorities.
