ACCUMULATION DYNAMICS TO PRODUCED BY MIGRATION AND LOCAL ACTORS IN GAZIANTEP

This study has three arguments based on the observation of the relationship between production and labour. Firstly, this study argues that there is a important relation between the dynamics of capitalist accumulation and the  waves of immigration. Secondly, it emphasises that the spaces adequate for the level of accumulation are produced together with class, ethicity, family and gender relations. Thirdly, the transformation of urban structure and the production with the impact of political strategy based on family, religious communities and "hemşerilik" define the geograghy of labour and industry in Gaziantep

While the elections of June 7 is coming towards the commitments on the election reports and their load at the budget is one of the principal discussion points. The issue of resource has to be handled from two principal elements. The first of these is the question that the taxes will be collected from whom and with which instruments. The second important point is that how these incomes will be share out-with which instruments- and for whom.

The role of trade unions in response to income inequality

In this study, we will examine the role of trade unions in overcoming the inequalities. For this purpose, the union density in OECD and EU member countries will be examined with various variables. At the same time, relation with union density and GINI index which is an important indicator for measuring inequalities, will be used as a tool. Besides, the relations between unionization rates and functional distribution of public spending and tax policy were discussed. A survey on strategies of trade unions worldwide to interfere with inequality evaluated and the activities of trade unions in Turkey interpreted.

EVALUATION OF REGIONAL UNEMPLOYMENT RATES IN THE CRISIS PROCESS 

In Turkey where there are significant differences in structural features of the regions, it is extremely important to evaluate these differences in order to investigate impacts of the crisis. When you consider these differences, it became obivous that official unemployment statistics are not sufficient to explain this process. This study focus on effects of 2007-2009 severe economic crisis, on both official unemployment rate and on the enlarged unemloyment rate which includes those who doesn’t look for a job for various reasons.

Space, Hegemony and Strategy in the Context of the Tension between Authoritarianism and Liberty

Global capitalism enables the power relations to be international as well as the other relations. Besides, on the one side it emphasizes on diversity / variety, on the other side it standardizes space and social structure. This situation creates a serious tension in temporal and spatial sense. This tension also brings about new possibilities for the current opposing movements. One of the most significant tools to make these possibilities visible is to realize the necessity and importance of spatial dimension in the sense of the social struggles. The spatial dimension of class design and relations among classes is important as well as the temporal dimension. At this point, it could be argued that globalization process is shaped like network of relations embedded spatially, administratively, militarily and economically. The elimination of the reactions of masses against inequality, spatial fragmentation and increasing poverty has powerful links with the establishment of hegemonic process. The tension between variety and standardization strengthens the tension and swinging between authoritarianism and liberty. Therefore it increases the environmental, social and economic risks of our world, as it reveals the new possibilities for these risks. In this sense, related to this, some Marxisms based debates on are very important. In the framework of the tension between authoritarianism and liberty, this study aims to explain the hegemonic relations steering globalization process and to establish some propositions that might build up system against strategies in spatial sense.
