I began my studies in Istanbul in 2001. After two years in Istanbul, I decided to pursue my studies abroad. While I was living in Istanbul I read the work of Austrian author Thomas Bernhard. I was deeply fascinated by Bernhard's work, which influenced me to move to Salzburg and begin my studies in philosophy in 2004, and then in political science in 2007. I wrote my master thesis on the Theory of Intentionality of Franz Brentano and took my final masters examination in Philosophy in March 2009 in order to continue with a doctoral studies program. Currently, I do my Doctorate in Philosophy at the University of Vienna and I work in the Department of Philosophy, University of Gaziantep as a lecturer (Associate Professor equivalent). The title of my Phd thesis "Ibn Khalduns Social Cohesion (Asabiyya) and Collective Intentionality". |
