Being one of the sub-branches of International Law and also named as International Public Law, Department of International Law basically aims to study the law system and individuals regulating international and public natured relations based on states, intergovernmental and non-governmental international organisations and individuals. A number of different lectures are given at undergraduate and graduate level within International Law Department which is divided into specific sub-branches in respect of studying subjects like International Maritime Law, International Criminal Law and European Union Law.
The lectures of Public International Law I and II, International Organisations, Transboundary Waters Law, European Union Law are instructed at undergraduate level.
As for the graduate level, the lectures of Use of Force in International Law and Humanitarian Intervention, The Concept of Changing Sovereignty in International Law, European Union Law and Turkey, International Criminal Court, International Law and Terrorism, Globalisation and Law are able to be given.
