While  the education had been given as named ‘Garment Department’ between 1997 and 2009, it has been given education as ‘Clothing Production Technology’ of within the context of İKMEP Programmes from academic year of 2009-2010. 30 students in 1. Education Programme are accepted to this programme every year. Education are given to the students as theoretical and practical in laboratory and atelier.

            Clothing production which had been actived in small ateliers in Turkey, it came to world markets fastly and was opened to world from 1980. The big developments were performed in this field in last years. These developments have contribute to economy of country and balance of outer payment with sales which make to domestic and foreign market.

            Clothing Production Technology have been provided employment to hundred of thousands people in tens of thousands of working places because of labour-intensive manufacturing. This situation have been contribute to prosperity of society positively. Approximately, 4 million people have been employed in clothing sector. The firms that active in clothing production have been created their own trademarks and collections and produced products as being added value that is high. At the same time, they have been created ways of sale and disribution with their own trademarks in abroad with fast and active marketing as condensing to research-development and product-development.

             The aim of our programme is be helpful to economy of  our country as providing women clothing designer to big and medium scaled clothing sector and fashion houses as considering these developments.
