What is pathology?Examination of specimens, biopsy, surgical specimens, autopsy, cytologic preparations, procedures: Fixation, dehydration, paraffin embedding, microtomy, stains, cell injury and death, functional alterations, causes of cell injury: Physical, chemical and biologic agents, cellular growth and differentiation, normal regulation and adaptations, necrosis: Definition and morphologic patterns, degeneration’s, inflammation and repair, regeneration, primer and seconder wound healing, complications of wound healing, hemodynamic disorders, edema, congestion, hemorrhage, hemostasis and thrombosis, embolism, infarction, shock, immunologic reactions, hyprplasi, metaplasia, dysphasia, neoplasia, definition, nomenclature, characteristics of benign and malignant neoplasm’s, cancer incidence, etiology, environmental factors, heredity, nutritional diseases, AIDS, viral hepatitis, smoking and alcohol
