Importance and functions of assessment and valuation in education; basic concepts in assessment and evaluation; characteristics of assessments tools (reliability, validity, usability); the assessment tools being used in education and features of such tools; traditional assessment tools (written exams, short-answer questions, true-false tests, multiple-choice tests, matching tests, oral exams, homeworks); analyzing students all-around (observation, interview, performance evaluation, portfolio, research papers, research projects, peer-evluation, self-evaluation, attitude tests); fundamental statistical processes on assessment results; evaluation of learning outputs; develping tools on grading. |
