History of Turkish education and importance with respect of education phenomena. Situation of education and teacher institute in pre-republic. Reform of Turkish education I: historical background of reform, philosophical, intellectual and political essentials. Reform of Turkish education II: law of unity in instruction: historical essential, content, application and importance; secularization in Turkish educational system Reform of Turkish education III: coeducation and education of girls, reform in writing, national schools, community centers. Basic principles of Republic of Turkey’s education system. Village institutes, Educational institutes and teacher higher schools, University and edification of teacher. |
