Turbulence modelling, its limitations, and current status. A concise description of turbulence and the process of arriving at the Reynold-averaged Navier-Stokes equations. Zero-, one-, and two equation eddy viscosity models. Incorporating advanced models into numerical schemes. Applications of models to boundary layer equation formulations. A brief discussion of direct numerical simulation of turbulence ends the theory of chaos.
